daily diminishing (day 110)

This is my snowboarding jacket which I have only worn once in several years. I never skied, having grown up in the South. A couple of years after moving to New England, I learned how to snowboard – the hard way. I don’t even remember going on the bunny slope, just down the mountain, falling into snow up to my hips until I found my balance. Eventually, I got pretty good at it, warranting the highest compliment from a couple of 13 year old boys – “He’s pretty good – DUDE he’s a girl!” I loved the feeling and the fear of going down the mountain, and I miss it.
