daily diminishing (day 230)

I do not remember where I got this book but the title appealed to me. It was written in 1922 by Alice Van Leer Carrick who created her next-to-nothing house in Dartmouth, New Hampshire. I loved reading it – every little detailed description of every piece of furnishing in her home. She was equally obsessive about choosing each piece for her home, as she was about writing about them. There is something very comforting and reassuring in reading this.
