daily diminishing  (day 318)

An artist I know made this bracelet.  I’ve had it for about fourteen years.  It is beautiful and unlike my other jewelry.  Wearing this requires the intimate act of someone else hooking the clasp.  This often reminds me of being a child, and my mom, lifting the hair off of the back of my neck, and hooking some delicate necklace for me.  That part of the neck as well as the underside of the wrist are vulnerable and sensuous territory.
